About This Spot

Stepping into Lulu on Solano Avenue feels like discovering a quietly vibrant corner where Middle Eastern flavors take on an inviting, modern personality. The atmosphere hums with a cozy busyness—bright, colorful interiors that draw you in without overwhelming, creating a space that’s both lively and relaxed. There’s a sense that here, each visit is less about rushing through a meal and more about savoring small moments shared across the table.

The rhythm here leans gently toward brunch, but with a thoughtful crossover into lunch and dinner, Lulu offers a journey through familiar yet refreshingly inventive dishes. The kitchen’s approach to mezze feels like an affectionate conversation between tradition and creativity, inviting you to experience textures that surprise—crunchy and tender, pickled and fresh—in one shared plate. Coffee here becomes an extension of that, with playful, carefully crafted choices that linger like a quiet ritual to kickstart conversation or contemplation.

What sets Lulu apart is its effortless balance between presentation and genuine flavor, where the thoughtful twists on Middle Eastern classics never feel contrived. It’s a place you might find yourself returning to, drawn by the thoughtful interplay of familiar ingredients presented with heart and a touch of whimsy. Such a great brunch spot. The menu is full of super interesting and unique dishes. The Japanese sweet potatoes were addictive. They have super fun coffee options. The servers were very attentive and knowledgeable. The interior was super cute, bright and colorful. We were so full so we didn’t have room for desserts but they had a very intriguing spread. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique brunch spot. It’s located in a cute part of town too!

Pleasantly surprised to find that everything we had tasted just as good as it looked. Expected there to be too much focus on aesthetics and making everything pretty for photos, but all dishes were quite good. Service was good and friendly, the atmosphere was bustling, and the new digs are cute. It's heavily brunch centric, but there are some more lunch dinner items. Wish they had a beer and wine license, some natty skin contact would go great. Review to be updated if experience changes.

Everything was delicious, but the mezze plate is something special. Some of the best falafel I’ve had, and the veggies were incredibly crunchy and tasted somehow both pickled and fresh. The coffee was also delicious; my partner and I got another one to go because our first round was so good

Cute little spot for dinner with quick service! The good: Bettenjan bi tahina: So flavorful! Loved all the sauces, and the dish came together beautifully — healthy food with great presentation. The not-so-good: Portion sizes were quite small, so we left feeling a bit unsatisfied. The sumac spritz tasted mostly like sugar water with barely any other flavor. Overall, a nice place if you’re looking for healthy options, though it would be great to see some chicken kebabs for non-vegetarians and falafel choices for vegetarians.

The food here is phenomenal. I’ve never had such creative fusion flavors that are both new and familiar. They have Mediterranean / Palestinian standards but with a twist; the flavor combos are so clever and they always taste amazing. They have slightly different menu items for dinner vs brunch so I’d really recommend trying both for the full experience. My favorites are too many to name but honestly you can’t go wrong—but the pancake is definitely top notch. Other favorites include the toum fries, the lentil soup, rotti wrap…actually you know what everything is good. I really don’t think you can go wrong. They also have vegetarian and vegan options, as well as other dietary restrictions options. Parking can be found on the street, though might be crowded during peak hours. I wish they were open more days of the week, it’s only Thursday - Sunday for now, but maybe in the future that will change…?

Hands down the best brunch I’ve had in a few years. We got a wide selection - Turkish eggs, round fries, mansaf roti and the kunefeh pancakes along with a two drinks. The mansaf roti was perfection with a hint of freshness with the mint, the fries were seasoned to perfection and I can’t even begin to describe how delicious the pancake was. It’s extremely busy so I recommend getting a reservation!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for months, and it did not disappoint! The decor and vibes are so cute, but the real star is the food — everything we ordered was phenomenal. Every bite was full of flavor, fresh herbs, and beautifully presented. Perfect spot for brunch with friends. Can’t wait to go back! Definitely come hungry! PS: wish I took more pictures but food was too good to wait!

Food was savory to the next level and very well decorated. We enjoyed every bite of it. It was relatively healthy also. Only nit pick will be the drink which had perfume like flavor so should be skipped.
